Role Summary: Program Intern

Are you passionate about making a difference, gaining teaching experience, and creating a culture where students learn about poetry and ethnic studies? Sacred Voices is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated interns to join our team!

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of educational/creative workshops.

  • Collaborate on curriculum building for various programs.

  • Implementing lesson plans for K-12 youth in classrooms. 

  • Facilitating poetry and educational workshops for the general public.

  • Support the creation of engaging and interactive learning materials for youth K-12.

  • Participate in the planning and execution of events and activities.

  • Contribute to social media and marketing efforts, including newsletters, posts, and website updates.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Education, Ethnic Studies, or a related field.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Experience with curriculum development and K-12 educational programming is a plus.

  • Proficiency in social media platforms and basic marketing principles.

  • Creative, proactive, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Knowledge of restorative justice theory, principles, applications, and best practices for youth and adults.

Are you passionate about making a difference, gaining media experience, and creating a culture where community members share their stories and voices with a broader audience? Sacred Voices is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated interns to join our team!

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in video editing and production for media and organizational content.

  • Support the organization and execution of open mic events and other community activities.

  • Create engaging visual and written content for social media and newsletters.

  • Update and maintain the organization’s website.

  • Participate in brainstorming and strategy sessions for marketing and outreach.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Media, Communications, Film, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro).

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and content creation.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
